Lash FAQs

Will eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?

Great care is taken during application to ensure no damage is done to your lashes. Each individual extension is chosen based on the natural lash it is being applied to. This ensures that no natural lash is holding more weight than it should, resulting in a healthy lash line.

Additionally, each natural lash is kept separate- no two natural lashes will be glued together. A meticulous application takes time, but it is essential to ensure that every eyelash grows and sheds naturally.

Why aren't you more talkative??

One of the best parts of my job is getting to know all the people that have become my clients. Our one hour fills can turn into therapy sessions, deep conversations, or just catching up on the latest trash tv shows. However, above all else, you have come to me to give you gorgeous lashes. A moving target can make giving gorgeous lashes quite the challenge! Imagine having to view and isolate one single eyelash, and then having to perfectly attach something to it. Even the slightest movements, like those created by talking, can slow me down.

I always want to know about the latest goings-on in your life, but sometimes your lashes need extra TLC. Additionally, lashing takes focus! I'm not always able to multi-task by holding a conversation and working on a challenging set of lashes. Please don't take it personally! My main goal during any appointment is to help you relax. As I always say- if you fall asleep and start snoring, I won't tell anyone!

How do I take care of my eyelash extensions?

Your extensions are fairly easy to care for. Brushing and cleaning daily is essential to good lash health. Lashes should be cleaned while washing your face using a cleanser specially formulated for lash extensions, like Chrissanthie Lash Cleanser. Apply foam cleanser to your lash line using a small soft bristled brush and gently work product into your lash line with the brush. Rinse thoroughly. Gently pat with a dry towel and allow to air dry fully before brushing through with a lash brush.

Never put mascara over your lash extensions. Not only will it break down the adhesive, but the build up it causes will suffocate your lash follicles and effect the growth of fresh lashes. Any makeup worn should be removed at the end of the day using an oil-free makeup remover and then your lashes should be cleansed with your lash cleanser.

Never pick, pull, twist, or curl your lash extensions. Fills should be scheduled every two weeks to maintain volume.
